From the time I was a young adult, it was an easy decision to pursue a degree in healthcare due to my natural ability to care for others.
I received my Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and upon completing my undergraduate degree, I began my nursing career as a cardiac floor nurse. It was during this position that I grew to love the opportunities I was given to truly get to know the patients and families were under my care.
With the desire for more autonomy in my career, I furthered my education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where I received a Masters of Science in nursing degree following the family nurse practitioner track. As an advanced practice provider, I have spent time in the primary, urgent care, and weight management settings.
It was during my time in primary care that I felt something was missing within the traditional model of healthcare. Through some research, I discovered the functional medicine approach to patient care, which takes more of an individualized approach by discovering and treating the root cause for illness. Intrigued by what I discovered, I furthered my education through the Institute of Functional Medicine and later continued to build upon what I learned through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. I have been fortunate to be able to provide care through a functional medicine approach that has proven to be incredibly rewarding. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of the team at Lindgren Functional Medicine, where exceptional care is the benchmark.
My passion is helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals through lifestyle modifications, nutritional supplementation and achieving hormonal balance. It’s my intention to educate patients so they can feel comfortable with their treatment plan, while encouraging them to ask questions and share their concerns. I believe in active listening and building an honest and trustworthy relationship.
