My professional training began as a Radiology Technician during my 8 years in the Army Reserve, where I completed my undergraduate degree as a Registered Nurse. After leaving the military, I worked in a medical/surgical department, as well as in a maternity and newborn nursery department. I returned to college at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to complete my Master's degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.
I later worked in urology, internal medicine, family practice, and urgent care. It was during this time I realized that something was missing in the traditional healthcare system. I wanted to get to the root cause to help my patients heal. I had the privilege of working in family practice with Dr. Kristen Lindgren, and found we shared the same concerns about the traditional healthcare model.
When Dr. Lindgren first opened her functional medicine clinic and invited me to be a part of it, I welcomed the opportunity. I pursued my fellowship in Functional Medicine and American Academy of Anti-aging Health Practitioners.
It's exciting to work with patients and teach them how to achieve overall wellness through lifestyle modifications, nutritional supplementation, and hormonal balance. I love being a part of an amazing team working together to help patients reach their health and wellness goals.
